About the Fraction to Decimal Calculator
The fraction to decimal calculator is a web-based math tool that quickly converts fractions or mixed numbers into decimal form. It supports two input modes — simple fraction mode and mixed fraction mode — to meet different calculation needs.
How to Use
- Choose a mode: simple mode converts ordinary fractions (e.g., 3/4); mixed mode converts mixed numbers (e.g., 1 1/2).
- Enter values: in simple mode, enter the numerator in the top box and the denominator in the bottom box; in mixed mode, enter the whole part in the left box and the numerator and denominator in the fraction boxes on the right.
- Convert: click the "Convert to Decimal" button, or press Enter in an input box.
- View the result: the result appears in the "Decimal Result" area, with any error message shown below it.
- Other functions: the "Example" button fills in random sample data and the "Reset" button clears all inputs and results.
Notes
- Denominator limit: the denominator cannot be 0, otherwise an error message is shown.
- Input format: only integers are accepted (positive or negative).
- Result precision: results keep full decimal precision.
- Error handling: invalid input displays a clear error message.
